According to a publication from Virginia Tech, a home landscape has been valued at around 15 percent of a home's total value. Perennials, on the other hand, will last for many years and can endure harsh winter conditions.

Memphis-area home sales for September rose 17.8 percent from a year ago, with 1,552 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Sales increased 20 percent from August, when there were 1,293 total sales. Average sales price from September-to-September increased 9.6 percent to $158,008.
